Advice on bleeding radiators
Following advice from our gas contractors and Valliant UK, we strongly recommend that you do not attempt to bleed your own radiators. The reasons for this are:
- Bleeding radiators draws more air into the system causing pressure problems and allowing for more corrosion in the system.
- Sealed systems should not need bleeding for unwanted air as there are no areas for air to escape.
- If a radiator has excess air or blockage, it could mean that there is a leak.
- When bleeding a radiator you may cause more damage or lose the radiator valve.
